The Gas Rocks

On our way back to the lodge from fishing in the Becharof National Wildlife Refuge we stopped to visit this site. The lodge owners birthday request was to visit this volcanic site. When Kate waded into the bubbling vents my first thought was she was going into a deep hole and was the bubbling gas safe to breath. This reference tested the mostly CO2 emmission of volcanic origin. These  gas vents were dipersed quickly so it was safe. And our planets volcano's in my mind based on what I have read and observed is one of the key factor's along with our plant rotation and obit cycles that can influence our current weather patterns. Long term patterns we see in our geologic past point to the cosmos and time ...... This area has had human's in and out for over 5000 years because of the amazing fish resourses and other wild life. But climate change for what ever reason, which here includes volcano's has realy impacted this environment and how humans can exist in this harse environment. Volcano's have it in my mind as a major disruptor of our environments. The Tonga Volcano Eruuption is the best example to date.
